My First Joseph's Coat Post

My progress so far...
(I only started yesterday)

52 petals ready to be glued and turned
No backing fabric (hopefully in the mail as we speak)
Only 12 more petals to cut out of the stitch and wash (hopefully Floiana have some more in stock soon!)
I have finally given in and started cutting up my Kaffe so, so far there is two petals of nearly every fabric cut (I think I may need some more after seeing this photo on Flickr!)
I normal sew at night so I will do all my glueing during this time and hopefully get some sewing done at work (one of the perks of working in a craft store!), once my background fabric arrives.
I will add phots to the Flickr pool once Flickr get back to me on why I can't sign in!
Ps. This quilt in mine, all mine!

Me working hard at the Patchwork House class yesterday with Kellie. Can't wait for our next catch up!

  2. wow, the colours looks just fantastic. And aren't you lucky to be able to quilt at work (but don't forget your studies.... sorry, can't help it, it's a mum thing;).....

  3. Its great fun doing this quilt and lucky you being able to quilt at work. Do you spend more than you earn at the quilt shop? I bet it is a big temptation not to buy all the time. Waiting to see your progress after your background fabric arrives.

  5. Glad you are joining in! Those petals take more fabric than was first thought as I am finding out. Good luck with your project and hope you can post on Flickr soon.
