Surprise!

Just a quick post to share our happy news!

(Yes, of course I had to make a quilt to share as well!)

Feels like Heaven

On Thursday last week I went to Heaven.
Or more likely my version of Heaven.

There was very pretty with flowers and sunshine everywhere, fabric being printed onto the roll, I got to sew all day, and men were vacuuming.

Where is this magical place you all cry?

I had a wonderful day helping out Michelle and Jacqui by doing a little sewing of cushions.

They had printed the fabric themselves!

And then I got to have a play...

Yes, I got to "design" a quilt on the computer and then Florence, the 2 tonne stainless steel digital textile printing machine printed it for me.

Easiest quilt I've ever put together!

I didn't get to take it home as Michelle wanted to keep it for the weekend, but hoping to go pick it up this week and get it basted and made into a quilt!

Ps. For your information, there were workmen at Frankie & Swiss and they were vacuumed up their mess, hence "Heaven"!

Saturday's in the Sun

The Boy and I had a gorgeous time in the sun yesterday with a picnic at Emerald Lake Park.

Best thing is seeing Puffing Billy go past all the time!

Funniest thing was when a kookaburra swooped down and grab a piece of cheese out of The Boy's hand as he was trying to put it in his mouth! He has now got the gashes to prove it.

Hope you all got to enjoy some sunshine yesterday and Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.

Flea Market Finds...

My Flea Market finds are a couple weeks old, but I keep forgetting to post them!

My first thrifted chenille blanket, two pretty doilies to add to the collection, cute chicken hatching tablecloth, and three spools of thin wool thread that now sit above my bed. I have no use in mind for them, just loved the pretty colours!
