Tada!

I managed to find the on switch on the sewing machine Saturday night and was able to get this finished. It was  stitched using the 602 Larkspur by Cottage Garden Threads, and I love how the swirls have all come out different colours with this thread.

If you follow Ms Dabbling all day you may have already seen this on her blog, but I had forgot to show it here. this is the gorgeous and very warm crochet blanket that she made me for my birthday (ok, my birthday was in April but it takes a long time to crochet when you are at uni!), and I received in December.

Me, snuggled under the blanket stitching before Christmas (when it wasn't so hot!).

I may have also forgot to show you my finished cross-stitch. Finally got this finished, just in time for the Craft Christmas party but it involved a couple late nights and a very sore shoulder.

On a bit sadder note for me, the craft store I was working at has been sold so at the moment I am trying to search for a new job. I am just hoping I can find another job as enjoyable, creative and fun as it was. In the mean time I have lots of time for sewing and blogging!

January

Just a collection of pictures from the last couple of weeks

DJ went crazy at the Lark online shop so I got spoilt rotten for Christmas!

More knitting from my Grandma to add to to stash for when I have kids (I think she is trying to tell me I will have boys as she has never given me girly coloured knitting), also tucked up the back, a scarf for me.

Fabric to take to Canberra for my Kaffe Fassett workshop! Very excited but still have not worked out how to get my scissors and rotary cutter to Canberra as I am not checking in luggage...

The Belle and Boo print I bought myself. I just need to find nice 10" square frames that aren't shadowboxed so I can put them up on my wall.

Veggies from the garden. Have frozen a heap of tomatoes tonight so I can hopefully trying and make tomato sauce next week when I have a few more kilos of tomatoes.

Pretty needlecase that our friends bought me back from England, and so pretty wrapped up.

Life has been very busy around here with work and DJ's triathlons on weekends. My brother also came home from Asia and then spend 5 days in hospital and my Grandfather's 80th birthday got cancelled due to the flooding.
I am hoping that everything settles down in the next couple of weeks and I can get some crafting and blogging done. I can't remember the last time I turned on the sewing machine!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and hope to blog again next week!

Tada!

Just in case you thought I was lazying away at the beach and not doing anything...

Did not get it done in time for Christmas (only started it 3 days before), but happy to get something finished. It was starting to feel like I haven't been finishing anything lately. I think I will try and get a few UFOs finished this month before I start anymore projects!

Speaking of UFOs...

Hoping to get a fair bit of this finished by the time we come home on Saturday.

Hope you are all enjoying some sort of holidays and had a lovely Christmas and New Years. Hoping to get a list of things I want to achieve this year up later in the week (if I can drag myself away from the beach!)

Summer Holiday

Enjoying the sunshine and getting a little stitching in too. Although I really wish it would warm up so I could swim.
