Made in Japan

Kokeshi Doll, a present from Dj's Mum!

How cute is she.

Love the cutting and painting patterns on her. Maybe I'll have to design a stitchery based on her.

An Almost Finished

Just got to put the binding on. A very nice job on a day like this in Melbourne. Got to get it finished as well as it is a wedding present for Dj's best friends and their wedding is this Friday. Nothing like a deadline to make you finish a quilt!

Ps.
Be quick and get over to Nicole's Blog. Her giveaway ends tonight.
(But please don't win, i really want it!)

My New Job

My blog has been very neglected this week and i have to blame this Lady. Kellie asked me a couple of weeks ago if I would like to come and work for her a couple days a week organising her blog and emails, and I mean emails! She got about 200 emails when I was there yesterday! I of coarse said yes, so yesterday was my first day of hopefully many more. Her blog is now looking super organised and lovely, and hopefully all of the links work. I did ask whether she could pay me in patterns but unfortunately she is so busy there aren't any spare!

So while Kellie is in Fiji for the next two weeks i will hopefully get some of my Joseph's Coat done and finish my Rocking Horse (and the million other things I have on the go at the moment!). I have finished a quilt for a wedding present so be back on Sunday to show you. Have a lovely weekend!

'Cause I'm still a kid at heart and a sneak peak for Polka Dot Daze

Just couldn't leave this little guy at the shops. He looked so sad with no one to play with him!
Plus he is my favorite character from Toy Story. Unfortunately he had a piece of string in him so I can pull him really, really long!

A quick sneak peak for Polka Dot Dazeand a pic of the beautiful cupcakes DJ's sister had for her 21st. Love the glitter butterflies!

Off to stitching tonight, have a new project in mind but really need to get my Rocking Horse finished first!

Joseph's Coat Update or Postie please bring me some more Kaffe!

I had another class with Kellie last Thursday and have finally traced all my petals out! Only have about a hundred left to cut out now (hopefully after work tonight!), and have ironed and cut out about 300 fabric petals now. Only have to glue down the sides of all of them!

Only problem is I have almost ran out of Kaffe material to use! Have a order in for the new season of his fabrics so fingers crossed it arrives soon.

Just remembered i had some more petals tucked away in a container (I was thinking that I had lost some!) so here's a pic of the 'lost' ones!

Oh, and the Kona coal background fabric finally arrived as well, as seen under my pretty petals. And yes my carpet is nearly the same colour as my background which makes it quite easy to plan my layout!
At the moment my favourite petal.
Off to try and fussy cut some more material to hopefully get a few more petals, and gaze longingly for the postie to bring me some more fabric!

Nearly There...

Only about 5 or so hours to go on it!
Off to do a class with Kellie tomorrow so will show some more pics of my Joseph's Coat. Have almost cut out all my Stitch and Wash petals and have about half on the fabric. At last the background fabric has arrived as well!
Off to stitch some more and watch Lie to Me!

Still here...

Sorry for the lack of blogging lately, came down with a horrible cold and now have hurt my ribs. Lots to show on my Joseph's Coat, but have not been able to do much stitching at all. Hopefully I'll rest up this weekend and be back next week with lots to show!
