I despise this quilt. it has been unpicked and resewn so many times and it still is not square. The only reason it is getting finished is it was DJ's birthday present and he loves it. So the plan for this weekend is to tease it into being square. Buttons are for the middle of the crosses and perle to sewn them on with. Wish me luck!
Edit: Friday Night and I have spent 7 hours today trying to finish this quilt with no luck! About to unpin and try again. Thank you for all the love, it is keeping me going (and keeping the quilt from being thrown in the fire!).
Ah, too bad. I have a hard time working on things I don't like, but sometimes it has to be done. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!! At least you know DJ will love it :) K
ReplyDeletegood luck. It makes it soo hard when you are not really into it doesn't it. I've had custom orders like that and it takes me AGES to do them. But, like Kylie said, at least you know he will love it!
ReplyDeleteHope you get it squared away ;)....So you can move on, that's great that he already loves it :)
ReplyDeleteLots of luck sent your way! At least you know you have a happy customer waiting!
ReplyDeleteBit of a bugger when something creative turns into a chore. Hope you sort it our soon. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck and thanks for being so honest! It will work out fine!
ReplyDeleteGood on you for keeping on keeping on.
ReplyDelete'despise' in red... that is serious despise! I think it's important to note that DJ loves it, even though it's not square. Maybe perfect doesn't have to mean perfect. Good luck with getting it finished.
ReplyDeleteOoh, good luck. I really hate it when I can't get something just right (or at the very least passable!) x
ReplyDeleteI hopeit goes really quickly so you can on woth a project you love.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I hate when that happens. Just think how neat your next project will be!
ReplyDeleteJust think how fantastic you will feel when you finish it and never have to work on it again. Arnt you lucky that someone else loves it though so it wasnt all for nothing :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think one of my quilts has ever made it to square completely. At least it will be loved.
ReplyDeletegood luck, i hate those projects that just get more and more frustrating. having said that i made a quilt for my son that is so far out of square it's ridiculous but he lives it so what the heck, the only time i notice is when i fold it
