Tuesday Treasures

My Tuesday Treasure is a jewelery box given to me by my grandparents on their 50th Wedding anniversary.
I use it to keep my favourite jewelery in, but it is more a reminder of my grandparents than just a jewelery box.

I only get to see my grandparents a couple times a year as they live 6 or so hours away and can't travel down to see us.

This is my Grandparents on their Wedding anniversary.

My Grandma's Wedding dress and memorabilia.

My Grandma, my Mum and I. This is the only time I have ever been allowed to try on the wedding dress. My Mum also wore this dress when she got married. Hopefully I can still fit into when I get married! (I was 17 in this photo).

My Creative Space...

Something a little different this week...

I decided that I really wanted to learn how to do counted cross stitch so of coarse I picked the most counted this I could find to learn with. After a lot of unpicks to start of with I am slowly getting into a rhyme with it. Which is good because I am only an eighth of so through it. I am finding that you have to be in the right mood to do it as well so this is going to be my slow and steady project.

Sorry everyone, for some reason it didn't post first time and only just realised.

I Heart Cute things (and Kaffe)!

DJ was very good to me on Saturday and took me to Daylesford. We checked out the Marker's Market and the main street and the of course popped around to Lark. We were lucky not to come home with the whole shop! I limited myself to a Belle and Boo pocket mirror,

Four of the cutest little badges,

and this gorgeous tin which I am going have to show you all four sides of.

When then decided to go to Ballarat and were met with this...

We managed to turn around and get there another way (I got in a little trouble for winding down the window and taking that last photo!).
I wrangled my way into Ballarat patchwork and bought this pattern, now added to the must do list.

I also scored these cute Kokka prints from Gails Patchwork Emporium, I have never seen a shop with so much fabric!

Just have to work out what I want to make with it now!

Off to sew together a bit more of the Kaffe quilt. Just seen that Glorious Color have new kits for the Kaffe book but really trying to get this one finished before I start another!

Tuesday Treasures

My Tuesday Treasure is my small collection of Nally Ware. All has been Op-Shopped and I always have my fingers crossed that I can find some more. Almost even better is what I keep inside of them...
Vintage sheets in one and half meter lots of other fabrics in the blue one.

How to tell if you are Sew Geeky...

No, I did not set up this photo at all. I just have to have my iPhone and laptop next to me when I sew!

My Creative Space...

I have the whole day to myself! I think a lot of those little bits and pieces are hopefully going to get finished today, and I will get my quilt finally sewn up. Fingers crossed anyway!

It looks nice and sunny outside as well so I may be able to get outside and take some pictures of some finished projects (or rug up and sew outside if I'm feeling game).
