Feeling a bit run down today so I think a day on the couch with some TV and stitching might be just what the doctor would order. Almost finished this little lady and got a few things at the almost finished stage so might be a few reveals soon.
Bribing myself to spend all day folding petal edges over. Then if I get them all finished I'm allowed to go order some more Kaffe fabric. Fingers crossed bribery works on me because I decided I want to have it finished by February so I can take it to the Kaffe Fassett lecture.
Off to get sticky fingers!

Ingredients: 1 Orange 180 grams Melted Butter 3 Eggs 1 cup of Caster Sugar 1 1/2 cups SR Flour
Preheat oven to 180C. Grease and line the base of a 12x22cm loaf tin.
Cut Orange into large chunks with the skin left on! Place in a large food processor and blend until well pureed. Add all other ingredients, then process until well combined.
Pour into tin and bake 50 minutes or until cooked.
Cool in tin for 5 minutes and then turn out onto a wire rack.
Cake can be iced when cool. Mix 2 1/2 cups icing sugar with 2 tbspns melted butter. Add the juice and rind of one orange a little at a time to make a spreadable consistency. Decorate with orange or lemon rind.
Morning tea is at 10 tomorrow, I'll boil the kettle.
My First Tuesday Treasure is a Teddy Bear that DJ got for me for my 16th birthday.
We had been going out about two months and a month of that I had spent in Germany (with two 5 minute calls to him). It was also the first time he meet my parents and my Mum introduced him to Chicken Parma (now a favourite of his!). I slept with 'Honey' for about 3 or more years but had to retire him to the shelf because he was getting a bit worn and is a little bit matted.
He is a reminder of when we first started going out and how young I was! 'Honey' will hopefully take pride of place on our own bed someday soon.
You should head over the Clare's and see all the other treasure's people have shared.
Bought at Treasures of Istanbul, Olinda. DJ is so lucky that I only bought home two bowls, I think I could have gone crazy and bought the whole store. Handpainted in Turkey, and I love the patterns and colours.
A little colour to brighten up this awful Melbourne weather.
Just got to have the cream crochet around them and then it is mine. I spent yesterday afternoon on her floor trying to make some sort of random pattern with out the colours being to close together for my OCness!
Did not end up buying anything at Magnolia Square yesterday, but had a great time looking around. Ms Dabbling all day and I then decided to head down to Oakleigh and have a look through the Op-Shops down there. First two were a bit boring and with the third we struck gold. I came away with this haul...
Two cake tins (does anyone have a recipe for a cake to make in these or can you just use a normal recipe?) and a beautiful Alice in Wonderland book that I was planning to cut up but I don't think I can after looking through it.
Isn't it gorgeous. Well worth the $4 i payed for it!
Off to Phillip Island this weekend. Is it strange that it takes me twice as long to pack my sewing than my clothes? Hopefully get some JC petals done and finish my Kaffe quilt.
Unfortunately my Amy Butler Gum Drop pillow doesn't look quite like the picture on the front of the pattern :(
Looked all good until I tried to sit on it and ended up on the floor! Unfortunately for you all I didn't manage to get a photo of me falling on my behind. I think it may needed more stuffing if i don't want a permanently bruised behind!
